Hi, and welcome to Vegan Break! I’m Michelle Taylor Cehn, an animal lover, an activist, a blogger, a community fundraiser, a novice photographer, videographer, and cook. I went vegetarian at the age of 8, and vegan during college in 2007. I now live in Oakland, California, work full time for advocating for animals, and make videos in an effort to make veganism more accessible to the general public in my free time!
Vegan Break is a series of short videos about a wide variety of vegan-related topics. I cover important news relating to veganism and animal rights, vegan health and nutrition, and book and cookbook reviews. I take you inside some of the top veg restaurants around the country, bring you to farm sanctuaries where you can get up-close and personal with the animals, and much more!
I have filled this site with many resources that I hope you will find useful. I have a Vegan College Guide, a list of my Top 10 Vegan Cookbook recommendations, a Vegan Shop with books, cookbooks, clothing, and all sorts of vegan gear, and more! Any purchases made through the Amazon.com links on this site will generate proceeds, 100% of which I donate to animal organizations including Mercy for Animals, Farm Sanctuary, and Vegan Outreach.
If you’d like to be notified when I post new videos, be sure to subscribe by entering your email in the box on the sidebar. If you’d like to follow up-to-date vegan news, be sure to follow @VeganBreak on Twitter and Facebook where I’m regularly posting new content.
Thanks for stopping by! Stay tuned, and feel free to send and comments, questions, or suggestions my way!
