Yay! Pizza! Try taking 'carne de soya' or textured soy protein and soaking it in Cajun spices and cook it up in canola oil while 'spritzing' it with soy sauce for color!

Thanks for posting this. It looks so yummy!!
It's safest (and freshest) to make pizza at home, because many pizza places do not have vegan dough.

- Pizza Hut's pan crust contains whey and enzymes, and the stuffed crust contains enzymes and mozzarella cheese. Their thin-crust is vegan though. Pizza Hut's regular pizza sauce contains beef base, whey, cheese solids (which is made with animal enzymes), buttermilk powder, nonfat milk solids, and MSG.

- Little Caesar's dough and tomato sauce are vegan.

- Domino's standard pizza crusts contain whey and the pizza sauce is vegan. One of their four pizza crusts is vegan, but only a select amount of stores have it.

- Papa John's original pizza dough, breadsticks and the pizza sauce (tomatoes, olive and canola oils) are vegan.

Thank you very much. I really didn't do much.. just stole a photo and ran it through a program. Anyway, I think I'll use that gift cert to help try to urge someone to go vegan. I'll keep you posted on how it gets used :)

To everyone responding to my original comment:

That's just want I wanted to hear. That same question has been posed to me by my friends and family and I could never answer it. I never really thought about the young girls who have to raise the pigs. These comments really are helping me understand why going vegetarian or vegan is important. I admit, I do eat meat right now, but I do love to hear the argument of why I should stop. I will be having children in the upcoming years and I am trying to determine how I should raise them. Thanks for all of your comments! [and sorry Stacey for seeming to be "cold hearted" :) ]

I'm planning on making a video with more thorough answers to these 5 common questions eventually! I agree that serious answers are more valuable and persuasive--this was just a fun video to show that things don't have to be so serious all the time ;)

These responses are great. And "beforewisdom," I'd imagine that she was just giving some snappy comebacks and not speaking for overall communication skills. Even when responding with empathy and patience, it's nice to throw in a one-liner every now and then that shows that vegans have a sense of humor!

I've been a vegan since 1995 and it has been 30 years since I became a vegetarian. I've tried all different ways responding to people. Based on my experience, I predict her responses would be more likely to drive people away than open their mind to changing how they eat. No disrespect to anyone.

Don't think I'd use that protein one, makes it sound like we eat grass.
